Awards: The three best entrants will be awarded with a prize.
The work of the best 10 entrants will be showcased during the India Design Festival 2008.
The Awards will be given during the Inaugural function of the India Design Festival on 1st December 2008 in Pune.

Pune Design Foundation 2008 brings to you a unique design competition for school students. Participate in doing your bit for your city! Innovate to bring change in your life! Make your environment more clean and enjoyable!
Design* (not just draw) a “Community Waste Disposal Bin”
The design has to be different from the original piece and it should be clearly stated as to why your particular design will make a difference to our environment.
Dustbins are a very important part of keeping your surroundings clean and tidy. Dustbins on the corner of your house, in your school, shopping malls, and railway stations, bus stops or anywhere in the public space needs your inputs. The more you have a user-friendly Dustbin; more and more people would be prompted to use it.
Endeavour to make this basic yet essential component of our community life better. Design a dustbin which you think can be best suited for the needs of the public.
Entry Requirement
Your entry should be in the following format:
1. Designs in the form of sketches, drawings on one A4 sheet provided by the organizers.
2. Write your name, age, standard and schools name on the right hand bottom corner of the sheet
3. The single sheet should explain your design. You are free to write explanation of the design on the sheet
Entry will be judged on
a. Problem/s identification and definition
b. Creative & Innovative thinking
c. Clear and concise presentation
Duration of the competition: 2 hours
